I consider myself a life-long learner, constantly looking forward to “what’s next” and how I can continue to develop and grow. I’m a designer at heart, highly detailed-oriented, with a passion for creating visually appealing instructional materials. I love to create, edit, and present materials that catch and keep the learner’s attention, and aid in knowledge retention. I believe successful learning experiences are challenging, interactive, and fun.
I live in Denver, CO and am ashamed to say I’m one of those natives that has never been skiing or snowboarding. I know! I promise I’ll make it happen soon. My passions outside of the professional realm include traveling, cooking, kickball, entertaining at home, being outdoors, and eating, but not necessarily in that order.
What I do now
Most of my professional experience is in contact center operations and training. I’m currently in the healthcare industry working for Centura Health at a contact center that supports multiple primary care clinics in the Denver, Colorado region, offering centralized scheduling services, referral management, and nurse triage. I founded the contact center’s Training and Development department responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training for non-clinical staff. I transform complex, unorganized information into clear and effective multi-media instruction to best engage the learner. My other responsibilities include: employee education, classroom facilitation, new hire on-boarding, process optimization and implementation. I am practiced at coordinating with key subject matter experts during design, development, and deployment of learning programs. Experienced creating and enhancing eLearning, videos, infographics, and more as learning solutions.
Where I’ve studied
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages with a focus in Spanish and Spanish Translation from Metropolitan State University of Denver in May of 2017.
I am currently enrolled in the Information and Learning Technologies Master of Arts program at the University of Colorado Denver with a focus in Instructional Design and Adult Learning.
